The Rittersaal offers the perfect ambience for your intimate wedding with up to 100 people. If you prefer something a bit bigger, then the Landtagssaal is just right for you. With 346 square metres of space, there is plenty of room to accommodate all of your wishes. Enjoy a lavish celebration with up to 220 guests, where no one will disturb you. The breathtaking ceiling fresco and bright scagliola walls will amaze your guests.

What do I need for a civil marriage ceremony?
Civil marriage ceremonies can be held inside our premises or in the courtyard. Registration takes place at the registry office for your place of residence. The statutory notice period for registering marriages is six months, which means that you may come to register six months before your wedding at the earliest. Despite this, you can reserve your wedding date earlier. Contact your registry office for more detailed information.
Is it possible to have a religious wedding ceremony?
The palace chapel at Palais Niederösterreich can be used for Catholic weddings with up to 50 people. Catholic weddings can also be performed nearby at the church of the Schottenstift (Benedictine Abbey of Our Lady of the Scots) or Minoritenkirche (Minorite Church).
Protestant weddings can be held at Lutherische Stadtkirche (Lutheran City Church).
Are fireworks allowed?
No, fireworks are not allowed due to our location in the heart of the city. Our partners at feuershow.at offer a breathtaking and environmentally friendly option.
Are balloons allowed?
No, unfortunately, balloons may not be released, as our courtyard is covered by netting to protect against pigeons.
Are candles allowed?
Yes, provided that the container (e.g. vase) is higher than the open flame.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is not allowed inside the premises. The balcony and the courtyard are available for smokers.
May rose petals or rice be thrown?
You may not throw rose petals or rice, with the exception of plastic rose petals.
Where is parking available?
You can park at the Am Hof, Freyung, or Rathausplatz car parks. Please contact the relevant operator for information about the applicable parking fees.
