Historic event venues in Vienna and Lower Austria
All three event venues operated by Lower Austrian Event Residences are historic properties with rich pasts. There are plenty of tales surrounding our event venues in Vienna and Lower Austria – the people who have graced these halls and the events that that have transpired in these buildings are truly amazing!
We place great importance on historic preservation and the careful maintenance of the original structures. At the same time, it is crucial to provide state-of-the-art technical equipment. The care we take to strike this balance is evident every single day.

Palais Niederösterreich in the heart of Vienna is a centre of political and social life. In the past, the Estates of the Archduchy of Austria Below the Enns (the historical name for Lower Austria), later the provincial government of Lower Austria, gathered here to hold provincial diets. The hereditary homage ceremonies of the archdukes were also held here. And the revolution in the Austrian Empire also began here in 1848.

Conference Center Laxenburg was closely linked to the imperial court. As the Lower Austrian residence of Maria Theresa and the venue for the first major theatre performances for the imperial court, Conference Center Laxenburg has historically been – and remains to this day – a distinguished meeting place for exceptional events.

Villa Schönthaler in Semmering was once the first villa of its style, which sculptor Franz Schönthaler had built for himself. On the most beautiful property in Semmering, where not a single house stood far and wide at the time, he enjoyed the famous view of the Schneeberg.
