Historical, elegant, and stylish – words that perfectly describe Villa Schönthaler. The villa’s outward appearance slightly resembles that of a grand hunting lodge. It was very important for us to retain the original character of the villa during the ongoing renovations. Lots of wood, elegantly finished materials, and a touch of style. The new furnishing of Villa Schönthaler lends a modern atmosphere. This mixture of old and new is particularly charming.
Villa Schönthaler consists of four levels. All rooms are beautifully furnished and provide ample space for up to 100 guests. Villa Schönthaler is divided into four areas:
the ground floor,
the two floors that contain the single and double rooms,
and the basement.
BASEMENT
The basement can be reached via a separate entrance, and houses the catering kitchen as well as various storage rooms. This puts all options on the table for your culinary delights.
GROUND FLOOR / EVENTROOMS
Directly next to the main entrance, you’ll find a foyer and the library; adjacent to the library, you’ll step into the first event space – the Salon. This impressive room spans 62.42 square meters and captivates not only with its size but also with the freely accessible balcony on the western side. The balcony offers not only a splendid view but also provides your guests with the opportunity to breathe in fresh air and relish the moment. Our Salon doesn’t only shine with its elegant and inviting ambiance, but it also seamlessly accommodates seating for up to 40 people in gala arrangement.
Right next to it, our unique Lounge awaits you, a true gem within Villa Schönthaler. The wood-paneled walls infuse the Lounge with a warm and cozy atmosphere, while the breathtaking view of the Schneeberg mountain offers a picturesque backdrop. This space serves as a meeting point for shared game nights or the exchange of experienced adventures – a place where lasting memories are forged.
In the adjoining kitchen, you can welcome up to 20 people for a shared breakfast. After all, even the start of the day deserves the perfect setting. We provide you with the opportunity to begin your morning in an attractive environment and prepare for the upcoming day.

FIRST FLOOR AND TOP FLOOR
The first and top floors contain seven double rooms and a suite. The rooms are beautifully furnished. An attractive, timeless interior; perfect sleeping comfort; high-quality tiling and stone finishes in the bathrooms; the historical appeal typical of Semmering; and a wonderful view of the Schneeberg. Perfect islands of tranquillity for your guests after an exciting day.
